The 1942 -45 Annual Convention took place against a background of severe wartime shortages and restrictions. This Notification below for 1944 is more or less the same as those for all four conventions. All were held at 10 Park Place, Cardiff.

Notifications for 1942 -44 end with an appeal to support this Wartime Convention. The 1945 convention took place after hostilities had ended but things don’t appear to have been much easier.  The 1945 notification urges members to help in any way they can.

My Dear Fellow Member

ANNUAL CONVENTION 1944

Our annual convention this year will be held at our Headquarters in Cardiff over the week-end of November 4th – 5th, and it is hoped that many Fellows will be able to attend.

MR Iwan A Hawliczek Bsc (London), will be our guest speaker and will preside. We are fortunate in securing of Mr Hawliczek, who as many of us know, is a most interesting and able speaker.

The Annual Business Meeting will be held on Saturday, November 4th, at 5.30 p.m. when the general report and the accounts will be presented and considered.

Owing to war economy conditions, no further notification will be sent to members, but we hope that as many as possible will gather together to help the work of spreading Theosophy, for the future has great need of it.
